Upcoming Live Music
Fri25Jul2014Music starts at 7pm Eddie Tennyson does not confess to writing “real” songs—they’re “just stuff he makes up.” This San Diego-born singer-songwriter tells stories with a voice and acerbic wit not far from Jackson Browne and just a stone’s throw away from Todd Snider. As a child, Eddie fell in love with the West while traveling with his folks from the orange groves of California to the wheatfields of Kansas to help with the family harvest. He later spent many years traveling the backroads gathering experiences to put into his songs, his wanderlust finally finding a home in the red dirt of the Canyonlands. This landlocked Jimmy Buffett still hits the road regularly in search of new adventures. His songs tell of outlaws and open spaces, lost landscapes and human foibles in an irreverent, tongue-in-cheek kind of way. Provocative yet fun, his songs make you think and go reptilian at the same time.

Over the course of the last ten years, Scott Ibex has emerged as popular artist who regularly performs all over the US. His wholly original style of solo-acoustic tapping music layers tonal harmonics over free-flowing melodies that delight audiences young and old throughout the land. It's not unusual for Ibex to perform hard-hitting slide blues, psychedelic bluegrass, folk, rock, country, reggae, or soul during a set. In fact, he often improvises memorable one-of-a-kind tunes on the spot.
